Two movers on the first two rows, three and four on the last two. The real number depends on stairs, elevator, how far we park and whether furniture needs taking apart.
Basic protection is $0.60 per pound per item — this is not full replacement value. The company also carries commercial insurance, filed with the state.

3-hour minimum. Time starts when our truck leaves our Northeast Philadelphia terminal and ends when unloading is done — you do not pay for our drive back. The final number depends on stairs, elevator, how far we park and whether furniture needs taking apart. Send photos or video and we tighten this range.

Two movers with a truck are $150 an hour, three movers $200, four movers $250 — the truck is always included, and the minimum is three hours. Very roughly, a studio takes 3–4 hours, a one-bedroom 4–6, a two-bedroom 6–8 and a house 8–12 or more; stairs, elevators, a long walk from parking and furniture that has to come apart all change that. Send photos or a video and we come back with a price for your actual move.
Yes, and here it is in plain words: the clock starts when our truck leaves Northeast Philadelphia and stops when the last box is unloaded. Driving between your two addresses is on the clock. The drive back to our yard is not — you never pay for that.
No. An estimate is not binding unless we agree otherwise in writing: you pay for the hours actually worked, and the time depends on how much you have, stairs, elevators, parking, waiting and extra stops. The more we see in your photos, the closer the estimate.
Yes. A $150 deposit secures your date and time, and it goes toward your final bill. The deposit is non-refundable.
Once, without losing the deposit, if you tell us at least 72 hours before the move. Cancelling later than that, or on the day, may mean an extra fee.
Payment is due when the move is done. We take cash, credit and debit cards, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo and certified funds; card payments may carry a processing fee.
CarePhilly carries commercial insurance, and every move includes basic released-value protection of $0.60 per pound per article. That basic level is not full replacement value — so if something in your move is high-value, say so before the date and we plan the job around it.
Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania suburbs — Willow Grove, Southampton, Feasterville-Trevose, Richboro, Levittown, King of Prussia and Plymouth Meeting among them. Our licence covers moves inside Pennsylvania, so we do not cross into New Jersey or Delaware.
Often, yes — last-minute and same-day moves are part of what we do. Call (215) 501-3535 and we tell you right away whether a crew is free.
Yes — packing and wrapping is one of our services, and moving blankets and wrap come on the truck at no extra charge. Tell us whether you want the whole home packed or only the kitchen and the fragile things, and we bring the crew and the materials for it.
Yes. Beds, tables and anything that has to come apart to clear a doorway — we disassemble it at the old place and put it back together at the new one.
More hands cost more per hour and finish sooner. The calculator above prices two and three movers side by side, so you can see the difference before you decide — and your photos tell us what your move actually needs.
A CarePhilly crew in company shirts, and often Alex, the owner, working the job himself. Every truck carries a liftgate, and furniture is wrapped and strapped before it goes on board.
We do not transport hazardous materials, explosives, firearms, flammable liquids, propane tanks, perishable food or illegal items. Cash, jewelry, medications, passports and personal documents should travel with you.
Yes. Tell us the type of piano and the stairs at both ends when you send photos, and we bring the crew size the job needs.
A Pennsylvania PUC licence and a USDOT number you can check yourself, the owner on the job, 92 Google reviews at 5.0 — and hourly rates printed on this page instead of held back until someone calls you.
The range you just saw is honest, but it is still a range. Show us the rooms — a few photos or a walk-through video — and we come back with a price for your actual move.
