The short version

We’re CarePhilly Movers LLC, a moving company in Philadelphia. When you ask us for a quote on this website, we get what you type into the form — the ZIP codes you’re moving from and to, your name, phone number, email and moving date — plus a photo, if you choose to attach one. We use it to price your move, get back to you, and do the job.

We don’t sell it. We don’t rent it. We don’t hand it to advertisers, and we don’t use your number for marketing.

Two things we want you to know up front, because most websites bury them:

  • Your request lives on this website, not in an outside sales system. The form, your photos and our conversation are stored on our own site, and they are not public.
  • Requests are deleted automatically 180 days after they come in — the photos and the conversation go with them. Sooner, if you ask.

The rest of this page is the long version, written so you can actually read it.

Who you’re dealing with

This website is run by CarePhilly Movers LLC, a moving company based at 9511 Evans St, Unit 11, Philadelphia, PA 19115. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company.

Questions about your information, or want it deleted? Email info@carephillymovers.com or call (215) 501-3535.

What we collect

What you type into the quote form. Nothing here is collected secretly — you type it and press the button:

  • the ZIP codes you’re moving from and to;
  • your name;
  • your phone number;
  • your email address;
  • your moving date;
  • whether you ticked “Text me about this quote”;
  • a photo of what’s moving — optional. These are usually pictures taken inside your home. We treat them as the most sensitive thing on this site, because they are.

What you send in your conversation with us. After you send the form, you get a private page where you can write to us and send more photos. Those messages and photos are stored on this website together with your request.

What happens in the background when you send the form. To stop spam robots from flooding the form, the site counts how many requests come from one internet connection within an hour. It does that without keeping your IP address: the address is scrambled into an unreadable code the moment it arrives, the counter resets after an hour, and the code is thrown away with it. It is never attached to your request.

What the server records on its own. Our hosting company keeps standard web-server logs as part of running any website — IP address, browser type, which pages were requested and when. That’s ordinary server housekeeping, not a profile of you, and we don’t use it for marketing. Those logs are kept on the host’s own schedule and then deleted.

What we never ask for on this website. The quote form never asks for your Social Security number, your date of birth, your bank or card details, or a copy of your ID. If a page claiming to be ours asks you for those, it isn’t ours — stop, and call us at (215) 501-3535.

Why we collect it

  • To give you a quote for the move you described.
  • To call, text or email you back about it.
  • To schedule your move and show up at the right address on the right day.
  • To keep records of the moves we do, as our license, our insurance and taxes require.

That’s the whole list. No advertising profiles. We don’t sell leads to other movers.

Calls and texts

When you send the form, you’re asking us to get back to you — so we’ll call or email you about your move. We text you only if you ticked “Text me about this quote”, or if you texted us first.

Our texts are about your quote and your move, nothing else. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time — or just tell us — and we’ll stop texting you. Saying no to texts doesn’t cost you anything: call (215) 501-3535 and you get the same free quote.

Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS purposes will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Who else sees your request

This is the part most websites keep vague, so here it is straight. Your request goes to exactly two places, and no further.

1. This website’s own database. The request, your photos and our conversation are saved on this website, with our hosting company. This is the only place your photos are stored. Saved requests are not public: they open only for our own team’s signed-in accounts.

2. Our email inbox. The written part of your request is emailed to us, so it is also held by our email provider, Google Workspace, under Google’s own privacy policy. Photos are not attached to that email.

A note on phone notifications. When a new request or message comes in, our phone gets a notification. The notification itself carries nothing about you — it only tells our phone to check our website, and the phone then fetches the details from the site directly. Your name and number don’t pass through the phone maker’s notification service.

Nobody else. We don’t sell, rent, trade, or share your information with anyone for money or for marketing. The only exceptions are the ordinary ones: if the law requires it (a court order, a subpoena, a government or licensing request we’re legally obliged to answer), or if we need it to handle an insurance or damage claim about your move. If the business is ever sold, customer records would go with it — and this policy would go with them.

How long we keep things

  • Your request, your photos and our conversation: 180 days. The website deletes them automatically 180 days after your request arrives. It happens on a schedule, not because someone remembered. If you want them gone sooner, ask and we’ll delete them.
  • The email copy stays in our inbox until we clear out old jobs. Ask, and we’ll delete it.
  • If we do your move, we keep our own business records of the job — the estimate, the paperwork you signed, the payment — for as long as the law, our insurance and our license require.
  • Server logs: kept by the hosting company for a short period on its own schedule, then deleted.
  • The spam counter: the scrambled code described above disappears within an hour.

Your choices — how to see your information or have it deleted

Email info@carephillymovers.com or call (215) 501-3535. Tell us the phone number you used on the form and roughly when you sent it, so we can find the right request.

You can ask us to:

  • send you a copy of what we hold about you;
  • correct anything that’s wrong;
  • delete it — the request, the photos, the conversation, all of it.

It’s free. One honest limit: if we’ve already done your move, we may have to keep the paperwork for that job for legal, insurance or licensing reasons.

You don’t have to live in any particular state to ask. We handle these requests the same way for everyone, and we won’t charge you more, refuse service, or treat you differently for asking.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising — so there is nothing to opt out of. Questions? Email info@carephillymovers.com.

Cookies and tracking

This site runs on WordPress.

  • There is no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no ad network, and no other advertising or tracking script on this site.
  • WordPress itself sets a few technical cookies, mainly for people who log in to the site’s admin area. Reading the pages and sending the quote form doesn’t require you to accept anything.
  • After you send a request, your browser remembers the link to your private conversation page for 60 days, so you can find your way back to it. That link is kept in your own browser, not on our servers, and you can clear it any time in your browser’s settings.
  • The video on our home page is played from Vimeo. Loading it lets Vimeo receive your IP address and set its own cookies, under Vimeo’s privacy policy.
  • The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads, under Google’s privacy policy.
  • Our map link opens Google Maps only if you click it.

Do Not Track signals

Your browser may let you send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is still no agreed industry standard for what a website should do when it receives one, so here’s the plain answer: this site doesn’t track you across other websites in the first place, so a Do Not Track signal changes nothing here.

Children

Our services are for adults arranging a move. This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child sent us something through this site, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Security — what we do, and what we won’t promise

No honest business says its website is unbreakable. Here is what is actually in place:

  • The site is served over HTTPS, so what you send from the form is encrypted on its way to the server.
  • Your photos are not put in the site’s public picture gallery. They are saved under randomly generated names, and the site hands them out only to our own team’s signed-in accounts — and, for photos you send in the conversation, to you through your private link.
  • Your private conversation page opens only with its own randomly generated link.
  • We keep the site’s software updated.

If something goes wrong anyway and your information is caught up in it, we’ll tell you, and we’ll tell you what we know.

Links to other places

This site links out to places like Google Maps and our social media pages. Once you click through, you’re on their websites and their privacy policies apply, not this one.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Want an earlier version? Ask us and we’ll send it.
